Fill out or select the first five fields - Tax Year, State, Gross Pay (Per Pay Period), Pay Frequency, and Federal Filing Status. Your paycheck will automatically be calculated after supplying this information. Pretty easy, right?
PayCalc.org provides this paycheck estimation calculator as a reference only. It may be inaccurate. PayCalc.org cannot and does not offer professional advice. PayCalc.org cannot be held liable for the use of this reference. Always seek the services of a Certified Public Accountant or other professional for tax calculations. That said, PayCalc is an easy way to estimate your take home pay after federal and state withholdings have been deducted. Have a nice day :)
For 2013, the Social Security (Formally known as OASDI - Old Age Survivors and Disability Insurance) tax rate is 6.2%. The wage base limit for S.S. in 2013 is $113,700. This means the maximum tax liability you will incur for the year is $7,049.40. PayCalc takes this annual maximum into account when computing your Social Security withholding from your paycheck and assumes you will be paid the same throughout the year and may show a less than 6.2% withholding if you make more than $113,700. Therefore, it is possible that your employer will withhold more from your paycheck than shown on PayCalc, particularly if PayCalc computes your annual gross pay to be above $113,700. If you're like me, you won't have to worry about this :) If you have any questions, please contact me via the link at the bottom of the page.
